The Midwest Junior Hockey League today announced its initial roster for the “Best of the Rest” tournament that will be played in conjunction with the AAU/UHU national tournament this week in Las Vegas.Michigan Ice Dogs’ general manager Jeff Price will coach the team of MWJHL players and will be joined on the bench by Ice Dogs’ assistant coach Brett Englebright and Soo Firehawks’ GM Doug Goudreau.
The MWJHL team as of Tuesday is comprised of eight forwards, six defensemen and two goalies and will play against teams from the Western States Hockey League and Northern States Hockey League.
The regular-season and Veteran’s Memorial Cup playoff champion Hartland Hounds and playoff runners-up Tennyson Chevrolet will represent the MWJHL in the national tournament.
